Well, to say the last two months have been a whirlwind would be an understatement. Stacy, myself and our kids are more than blessed to be welcomed by all of you and we can't thank God enough that He chose us to be your Pastors.

With that being said, I cannot be more excited for what God has in store for our, no His, church. In my preparation for the next couple of months messages, I ran across an amazing verse from the book of Isaiah. Now it has been said that Isaiah is sort of a mini-Bible. It has 66 chapters, the Bible has 66 books. Many similarities also occur due in part to Isaiah prophesying about Jesus and his coming and eventual death and resurrection. In the latter part of the book, in chapter 44, The Lord rails against the Israelites for worshipping idols. "All who make idols are nothing, and the things they treasure are worthless." (44:9)  "Shall I bow down to a block of wood?” (V.19)

In verse 19, this is the question I must ask myself from time to time. What shall I bow down to? Is the thing that I am placing before my time with God even worth it?  There is nothing, and I mean nothing, like spending time with the Lord.  Just the other day while driving around town I turned off sports talk radio, rolled up my windows and just spoke. I spoke with the Lord. Well, to be honest, I kind of yelled a little bit. Yes, i was that crazy guy screaming to himself while driving. But, this is who I bow down to, this is who I need to put first in my day if I want anything good to come out of it.

I pray the same for all of you for the next coming days and weeks. Take the time to put God first in your day, bow down to Him, show reverence to Him, thank Him, and praise Him.
